Please join the NW FFA as they sponsor a relief drive for the
flood victims in Louisiana. The focus of
this project will be a school in Lafayette.
Items needed are as follows: school supplies, book bags, uniform clothes
(khaki pants, red, white or navy shirts), bottled water, and Wal-Mart gift
cards. The FFA members will have a table
set up at the football game Friday night to collect donations. You may also

FREE MEALS!
We are excited to announce that all students will receive FREE meals in the cafeteria. Through a program offered by the MS Department of Education, all students can eat breakfast and lunch free of charge. In order for this program to be successful, we need students to take advantage of this opportunity by eating breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria. We also need ALL students to return completed lunch forms. Thank you so much for your participation in the program.

Lott Leadership Institute
Senior, Allayna Lovorn was selected to attend the Lott Leadership Institute for High School Students at the University of Mississippi this past summer. Allayna was one of 50 students selected from over 1,000 nominees from across the world. The goals of the LLI were to develop leadership skills in young citizens and to prepare them for college. To achieve these goals, the LLI brought together student leaders to earn college credit on the University of Mississippi campus. In addition, Allayna went on a six-day trip to Washington D.C., during which she was able to observe the federal government in action, hear from national leaders, and tour the nation's Capitol.
We are extremely proud of Allayna. She represented her school, community, and county well.

Annual Parent Notice
Dear Parent
or Guardian:
Our school
receives federal funds for Title I programs that are part of the Elementary and Secondary Act of 1965, as
amended by the No Child Left Behind Act
of 2001. Throughout the school year,
we will continue to provide you with important information about this law and
your child’s education.
We are very
proud of our teachers and feel they are ready for the coming school year and we
are preparing to give your child a high quality education. As a Title I school, we must meet federal
regulations related to teacher qualifications as defined in NCLB. Under these regulations, you have the right
to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your
child’s classroom teachers. If you would
like to request this information or if you have any questions about your
child’s assignment to a teacher, please contact your child’s school.
Thank you
for your interest and involvement in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Belinda
