Many of Reagan's family members were in attendance today, along with the Nanih Waiya slowpitch and fastpitch softball team members and Coach Ron Swart. We wish Reagan the best of luck for the future. Summer is approaching!
To better prepare students for AP (ELA) classes and the assessments, Dr. Paula Stokes created a list of books that can be read over the summer with entering 9th-12th graders and during the year. The Winston County Library has a copy of each of the books and are planning on ordering more copies to accommodate our area students. PLEASE encourage students to read the books, especially students who plan on taking AP classes! The books that are read over the summer will hopefully be discussed during the year as well. Thank you parents for all you do to help further the education of your children. We hope you have a wonderful summer!

Ms Luke's Advanced World Geography class has been covering a section on Ethnicity. The students have researched various ethnic groups and discussed aspects that make them unique. One of the aspects happens to be food. The class was required to research ethnic foods, choose a particular food and find a recipe. On Wednesday the students tried out their cooking skills - or their mother's cooking skills in some cases. Overall Italian food was the predominant group represented; however, German, Chinese, English, Mexican, and Hawaiian also appeared on the table. The group enjoyed some great food and had a wonderful time!
